Overview

Communications media present views of the world that are contradictory, is it a world dominated by diversiveness and conflict? Or is it a world in which removal of barriers to the flow of ideas and commerce is bringing more unity? How can a 21st century leader understand and interpret these dissonant messages?

In FEI's Aspen Institute: Global Values and Leadership Seminar; you will examine the existence of shared values in the contemporary world. The focus is on political and economic realitites and the complex relationships and conflicts among values. The understanding you gain supports your leadership as a Federal executive and citizen.

Our country's cultural, economic and military pwoer makes it a global actor by default. Leaders of U.S. Government agencies are thrust into the global context with increasing frequency. This FEI seminar helps leaders identify what others think and believe, and understand better why they do so. The seminar process teaches how to communicate values more effectively.

The Aspen Institute is an international nonprofit institution dedicated to enhancing the quality of leadership. Programs are led by moderators whose education and experience enable them to create a challenging but supportive environment.
