Organizational Development

"Big Picture" Consulting for System-Wide Change

Sometimes an agency needs to address systemic issues that cannot be resolved by staff training alone, or it needs to develop its internal capacity to grow.

The Office of Personnel Management's Organizational Development Team was established to help agency customers assess organizational needs and design strategic interventions that produce systemic change. More than training, organizational development is a consultative approach to help agencies accomplish large-scale change through approaches such as organizational transformation and strategic planning.

OPM's Organizational Development Team specializes in helping agencies and organizations realign themselves to fundamental changes in mission, budget, technology, and other organization-level issues.

With a highly trained staff drawn from government, business and academia, OPM's Organizational Development experts are among the country's top authorities on public administration.
