Leadership

Leading Work and Project Teams

Influencing Work Groups and Project Teams to High Productivity

Overview

One of the most difficult roles a leader plays in an organization is that of project or work team  lead. If you are a technically proficient worker you are often challenged to assume leadership responsibilities without the vested authority of a manager and supervisor. You must get the work done and improve your group’s productivity using influence.

This highly experiential, comprehensive seminar addresses the challenges and opportunities of fulfilling the role of work team lead or project team lead. You will practice essential skills and strategies and develop practical models for addressing real world challenges.

  • Manage and cultivate team dynamics by leveraging member strengths, developing positive synergy, inspiring pride and team spirit
  • Understand the life cycle of projects, planning and organizing from conception to completion
  • Develop specific techniques to improve work processes, solve problems, and acquire and retain sponsorship
  • Learn to foster effective communication and decisionmaking among team members
  • Discover the best ways to delegate authority and provide guidance, even to virtual and geographically collocated work and project teams
