Overview
Designed for new Federal supervisors, this seminar will teach you the "nuts and bolts" of frontline supervision and give you the tools you need to transition successfully into the supervisory role. You will learn critical skills for managing human resources within Federal personnel rules, establishing and implementing an effective performance management process, maintaining high performing employees and, when all else fails, employing discipline and termination procedures.
This seminar can be completed as a stand-alone seminar week or as a two week experience when combined with Supervisory Leadership Seminar II: Learning to Lead. When taken together the weeks do not need to be consecutive. If taken back to back with the Supervisory Leadership II the cost will be $5500 for FY 09 and $5700 for FY 10. Please visit www.leadership.opm.gov for more information on the Week Two course.
