Overview

According to the U.S. Government Accountability Office, the most important element in transforming an organization is its human capital, or people. As a leader charged with developing and executing a human capital plan, this course will help you learn strategies for attracting, developing and retaining quality employees.

This course also will strengthen your skills in partnering with agency leaders to develop people strategies that support organizational goals. A primary focus is the Federal Human Capital Assessment and Accountability Framework (HCAAF)-how to use it to plan, guide and measure your efforts. You also will have the opportunity to learn from your colleagues throughout the Federal government.

Instructors for this seminar include human capital officers from the Office of Personnel Management.

How You Will Benefit

  • Understand the HCAAF and its critical role in achieving organizational effectiveness
  • Learn to partner with your leadership to integrate a human capital strategy that supports the agency mission, goals and organizational objectives
  • Use the HCAAF to monitor your agency's human capital efforts and develop measurable performance goals
  • Address specific human capital challenges, such as diversity, leadership capacity and retention

Who Should Attend

Federal managers and executives and other key senior staff and senior human resources managers responsible for developing and executing a human capital plan
